About Travis Holt
Travis is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an approach he prefers and uses to help clients process difficult experiences and reduce the psychological weight they may be carrying. As a Marine Corps combat veteran, he aligns with the idea of post-traumatic growth - the belief that while past events cannot be changed, it is possible to change how those experiences are held and carried over time, turning pain into power and purpose.
He has spent the past several years working closely with the combat veteran community, including spouses and significant others. Before completing his master’s degree and focusing his work with combat veterans, Travis gained extensive experience across a range of settings, including residential programs for adults and youth, restorative justice, the prison system, truancy-related services, and long-term care with older adults, dementia care, and hospice support.
Outside of work, Travis enjoys staying physically active through weight lifting, yoga, biking, and swimming, as well as bird watching, reading, and playing chess.

Travis Holt, LCSW, uses evidence-based therapeutic techniques with a clear, direct style balanced by empathy and tact. One approach he is trained in is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a structured method that helps people process distressing memories and reduce the emotional pull of past experiences. It can be especially relevant for trauma-related concerns, including post-traumatic stress, and for clients who want practical, focused sessions. His work is also grounded in the idea of post-traumatic growth - exploring ways to carry difficult experiences differently over time and to reconnect with meaning, purpose, and personal strengths. This perspective can support people navigating grief, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions by helping them clarify what matters now and how they want to move forward.
